Sexy Gocchin alert! Well, its not surprising really since she started doing the sexy stuff even before she leaves HaroPro. I missed the sweet, innocent, dorky lil Gocchin. LOL. I feel bad that she had to deal with her idiot brother cable stealing fiasco. What really suprises me is the fact that I kinda like the song. It sounds pretty good. The PV is also waaaayy better than any PV she had when she was still in HaroPro. Cause H!P just don’t make good PVs*rolleyes*

More about the upcoming group Jumper, with ShinHwa member Andy as the producer, has been revealed ahead their debut in February.

The group consists of team leader Rocky and rapper cum sub-vocal Park Dong Min. Already, much interests has been raised regarding member Rocky has been mistaken to be actor Seo Min Woo after photos of him together with Andy during Andy’s Japan fan meeting has been revealed.

Rocky was also featured in the song ‘U-Turn’ in Andy’s 1st solo album for the rap. Jumper will debut in mid-February.

Jewelry’s Kim Eun Jung and Ha Joo Yeon will promote as Jewelry S with members Park Jung Ah and Seo In Young stepping out of the scene for a while.

Their new MV was filmed on 20th January. Members Seo In Young and Park Jung Ah were also present during the filming of the MV.

Their company also said, “Jewelry S will give a new feeling from that from female groups like So Nyuh Shi Dae and WonderGirls. Please lookout for Jewelry S.“

SNSD Album Sales Zoom with Gee

With the booming popularity of “Gee”, SNSD’s first album has even had a burst of sales.

SNSD released their first mini album on the 7th, titled “Gee”. As soon as this album was released, it immediately went to number one on both on and off line charts, ensuring that they will occupy the music industry in this new year.

With this explosion of popularity, their first album that was released in November of 2007 has also had an increase of album sales.

According to offline album chart research company Hanteo, within ten days of release, “Gee” has sold over 30,000 copies. According to their agency SM Entertainment, they have sold nearly 65,000 copies. Note that there is a difference between the number of album sales reported by Hanteo, which utilizes a sample survey in order to get their numbers, and SM Entertainment, who gets their numbers from the number of albums shipped out to the stores. The most accurate number would be the aggregate of the two.

With the release of “Gee”, their first album sales have spiked as well. According to Hanteo charts, their first album sold over 4,000 copies in January thus far. From January 5th to the 13th, it occupied the 9th and 10th place positions on their ranking charts. It is believed that their actual sales will have surpassed this.

It is extremely rare for an album that was released a year and three months ago to still be ranked in the TOP 10, thereby proving the incredibly popularity of “Gee”.

An industry analyst said “You can tell that SNSD has garnered many fans after their nine month hiatus. No longer can you refer to SNSD simply as just an idol group but a top national group with mass appeal. The SNSD brand is no longer just a temporary trend as they have established themselves with having long lasting permanent value for consumers across the nation.”

TaeTae and JHD Change in Marriage

SNSD Taeyeon and Jung Hyun Don couple will finally appear on next week’s episode of “We Got Married”, but in a surprising turn of events, they aren’t getting married!

Producers cleverly decided last minute to make an exception for the lovebirds due to anti attacks on both Hyun Don and the actually show itself by fans. Instead, the couple themselves will determine over time whether they will tie the knot or not.

For the next episode, JHD visits SNSD dorm to find out who his new partner will be. He is the first male celebrity to visit SNSD’s living quarters publically,

*Actually some SuJu members once delivered a cake there so Hyung Don is the fist non SM associate to visit the SNSD dorm publically.

Thank god they’re not getting married! Leader Taengoo deserves much better but JHD still got to visit their dorm though… lucky dude. Honestly, I think people will be more interested in the girls dorm than the actual show. LOL

SNSD’s Tiffany talks about the most difficult time since the start of her career.

On the 16th, during “Choi HwaJung’s Powertime” on SBS PowerFM (107.7MHz), in answering a question in the section “rumours that makes my heart feel uneasy”, Tiffany said “When I first came to Korea, I could not adapt and it is difficult for me to converse with people. It hurts me when people blames my parents for this.”

Tiffany said, “I came to Korea even when my parents object me from coming”, “It hurts me when people insults my parents for something I didn’t do well.”

Also, the other members, Jessica said “Unexpectedly, based on single picture, there were plastic surgery rumors about me; even my parents struggled, too.”

Sunny said, “Before I debut, because I live in the same neighborhood as the idol artistes, when there is a scandal about me and them, it is a painful experience.”

KARA on J-POP wave

5 member female group KARA replaced Younha as the new MC’s for cable channel KM’s “J-POP Wave.” KM’s “J-POP Wave” is a music video station, which obviously introduces the latest J-POP music videos to Korean viewers.

KM J-POP Wave’s PD stated:

Since this is a program which introduces music from another country, if the hosts do not have a strong knowledge of music, it would be difficult to introduce these music videos to the viewers. Because of that, we had asked KARA to MC for the show, as they have always had a strong interest in J-POP and Japanese culture. We feel they will be able to provide a very good experience for the viewers.

I admit that while I like a lot of girl groups, KARA doesn’t appeal to me that much. I know they’re getting popular these days and ‘Pretty Girl’ is kinda catchy with the ‘If you wanna pretty, every wanna pretty’ (ROFL) lyrics. XD

Maybe I’ll like them more if I get to know them and their music just a bit more? =)
